Zetsu has a kind of weird split personality. His right side of his face is black, while his left side is white. The two sides occasionally converse witheachother over things. The black half of his face speaks only in Katakana while the white side uses Kanji and Kana. Usually they differ about the situation, they did this over the decision to let Tobi take the place of Sasori. Zetsu also cannibalistic in nature and eats the corpses that Akatsuki needs to dispose.

General Appearance:
Zetsu has a large venus fly trap that covers his head and can also envelop the rest of his body. Zetsu's hair is green and fairly short. The right side of Zetsu's face is black, while his other side of his face is white. This is because he has a split personality. The eyes of Zetsu are a yellowish, and do not have pupils. Zetsu is always wearing the Akatsuki cloak, and his Hitai-ate has never been shown.

Jutsu Description:
A technique that allows for minor control of plant life, Konoha Soujuu is a technique that is to be feared of. With the use of three hand seals, Zetsu can sharpen, extend, dull, retract, widen, harden, thin, thicken, smooth out, curl, straighten, and even create projectiles out of foliage.(He can only use on green stuff. Ex. Grass, Plants, etc.

Jutsu Description:
This unnamed Ninjutsu technique allows Zetsu to spy on an enemy from afar. It is unclear if Zetsu uses his corporeal body or some plant created extension to spy on his targets. Either way, the Zetsu can emerge himself from plant life and extend some form of sensory perception over great distances to gain heightened sight and auditory powers. Using his greatest range he spied upon Team Gai from approximately 100 meters away. Even at this distance he could gather information as if he was right by them. No kata needed.

Jutsu Description:
This unnamed astral projection technique is used by Akatsuki to gather at one location, even while members are in different parts of the world. By forming the needed hand seal, an astral form of their being will appear at the desired location. This spirit can act in conjunction with other members to do combination jutsu like the Genryuu Kyuu Fuujin. While in the spirit form, the member’s voice will sound deep and distorted.

Jutsu Description:
Using this jutsu, the user can merge with another object and take on its properties to avoid any damage. In the manga, Orochimaru uses this to merge with a tree just before his battle with his former student, Anko Mitarashi. He, however, does not give it a name. No hand signs are required.
Background/History:
Zetsu is a very mysterious missing-nin. Zetsu belongs to the group called the Akatsuki, being a spy. Zetsu's face and body is engulfed by a giant venus fly trap. Also he has a split personality, and the two sides occasionally converse with eachother, usually with different opinions. The had an arguement over whether to let Tobi join the Akatsuki taking the place of Sasori.
Zetsu has a jutsu he frequenlty uses which lets him merge with the ground, trees, and other plants to travel long distances fairly quickly. This jutsu is called Bфka no Jutsu (Attack Prevention Technique).
During the sealing ritual, he has the ability to move his body which no other Akatsuki member can do. Because he has the ability to do this, he serves as lookout during the ritual. Zetsu serves as the Akatsuki Hunter-nin.
Zetsu is also sent to dispose of the corpses of those used for the leader's Shapeshifting Technique as well as recover the rings of Sasori and Deidara. He performs the former function by devouring the corpses.
Before Tobi becomes an Akatsuki member he was the subordinate of Zetsu. After the death of Sasori, Zetsu gave Tobi Sasori's ring, and made him an Akatsuki member. All of the Akatsuki members report to Zetsu as if he is superior, but he is usually just following orders.
Zetsu is also seen after Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke's fight in which Naruto attempted to bring Sasuke back. Zetsu rises from the ground, and notes on Naruto's development, most likely scounting on the fact that Naruto is the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki.

The day was coming to an end as the night starting to cross over. Zetsu was walking along a dirt path, going to report to the Akatsuki of a meeting that took place between the Kages. The cold wind was blowing into his venus fly trap, making strange noises as it was hit. Over his shoulder he had the body of a Jounin who tried to overcome Zetsu. Zetsu had knocked the Jounin out while they were in battle. Zetsu was going to devour the corpse soon enough. In the near distance was a large enough rock for Zetsu to sit on.
He slowly made his way toward it, taking the body off of his shoulder and resting it on the ground."Let's devour it now, i'm in the mood for a corpse" said one of Zetsu's sides. "No, we must bring the body back to the leader to show him first. The leader might need him for something." Responded the other side of Zetsu. After arguing back and forth on what to do with the body they had come up with a conclusion. Because it was an important situation they were going to bring the body back, but next time they would devour the body on the spot.
Zetsu slowly stood up and turned his head being very alert. He was not sure if he was being followed. He quickly picked up the body and through it over his shoulder, continuing to walk on the road. Then he performed hand signs and whishpered "Bōka no Jutsu", he was then underground, moving at a fast pace.
